Help for those affected by

Body Focused Repetitive Behaviours

I work with people just like you, who are struggling with body focused repetitive behaviors.

I help you to feel understood, develop skills and feel supported enough to make real, lasting changes so that you become better able to challenge the cycle of behavior that is causing you pain.

You pick, pull, scratch or bite and it feels uncontrollable.

You feel completely alone and worry that this is something you will always battle, that there’s no solution, that it’s too complicated.

You feel isolated, ashamed, hopeless and so sad as you watch your life getting smaller because of the impact it has on you.

You can’t stop doing it no matter how hard you try and you feel like it’s your fault for not trying hard enough.

When you ask for help nobody, not even your doctor, really understands the problem or how to help.

You’ve mostly managed to keep it secret but you’re so tired and it’s been such a problem for so long.

You’d love to be able to do all of the carefree things that you see others doing without the worry…

You’ve been told to ‘just stop’ but this just makes you feel angry and told off.

You wish you could control this behavior that seems to happen all on its own.

You want to stop hurting yourself but it’s not that simple…

and somewhere deep down you’re scared of what life would be like without it.

What I Offer

I work with you to really understand why it is you do what you do, in context of your unique history and experience and then tailor our work to suit your own circumstance.

We’ll work together gently, with acceptance and understanding, so you don’t have to feel so alone in this.

You’ll begin to understand your nervous system and how it functions from the perspective of someone with a BFRB and you’ll see its relevance to the issues you are dealing with.

You’ll gain insight into the origins and patterns of your behavior and develop skills and awareness to help yourself.

You’ll get the support and resources that you don’t have at the moment to skillfully work through the challenges you’re facing.
